ESE was the structural engineer of record for this project. The project consisted of seismic strengthening of the existing United Airlines Cargo Facility at San Francisco Airport and 39,000 square foot expansion on the North side of the existing building. The existing facility consisted of a one story cargo storage structure, 70,000 square foot, and a two story office structure, 18,000 square foot. The two existing structures are of steel construction, designed in 1965, and are separated by a seismic joint. ESE provided full basic structural engineering services.
